John McKenna, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. Dr. McKenna completed his pre-doctoral internship at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. He went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he worked with LGBTQ+ adolescents and young adults, as well as their families. Dr. McKenna has trained at a variety of other institutions, including the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University, the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety, the Newton Public School system, and Concord Comprehensive Neuropsychological Services (CCNS). Before returning to CCNS, Dr. McKenna served as an attending clinical psychologist and researcher at Boston Children’s Hospital and as an Instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School. He subsequently completed a second postdoctoral fellowship specializing in neuropsychological assessment.
Dr. McKenna now provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations assessing developmental, learning, psychological, socioemotional, and executive functioning challenges. A particular area of interest for him includes providing compassionate, comprehensive, and affirming neuropsychological assessments and services to college-age and young adults (18-30 year olds).
