John McKenna, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist and a Postdoctoral Pediatric Neuropsychological Fellow specializing in neuropsychological assessment. Dr. McKenna received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Suffolk University and completed his pre-doctoral internship at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. He then went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he worked with LGBTQ+ and gender diverse young people and their families. Dr. McKenna received additional training from the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University, the New England Center for OCD Anxiety, the Newton Public School system, and Concord Comprehensive Neuropsychological Services (CCNS). Prior to returning to CCNS, he served as an attending clinical psychologist and researcher at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. McKenna provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation of school-aged children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental, learning, psychological, socioemotional, and executive functioning challenges. Specific assessment areas of interest include: ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety and mood-based challenges, and identity development.
